My “Pineapple Kale Smoothie” is no exception and in fact, it might be my newest smoothie obsession. Pineapple is great for any inflammatory disorder (like Crohn’s disease, arthritis, painful joints, and post-exercise aches and pains). It contains bromelain which is one of the strongest anti-inflammatory substances on the planet.
Kale contains copious amounts of nutrients that yield to a younger complexion, stronger muscles, more efficient metabolism, and better skin. Lemon juice hides the bitter of kale and is a major antioxidant – although the green tea in this smoothie certainly fights the lemon for the top spot. Green tea gives energy, fuels weight-loss, and regulates metabolism. And the ginger…well ginger is great for just about any health condition and is recommended most often for those with digestive disorders.
The recipe for this smoothie is simple and delicious and whether you’re looking to get healthy or longing to lose weight, you won’t regret trying it!
Pineapple Kale Smoothie
1/2 small pineapple
1 large handful of Kale (about a cup)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ginger (Start out with 1/2 teaspoon if you aren’t used to the taste.)
1/2 juice of a small lemon (about 2 teaspoons)
2 cups of green tea
1 cup of water
Add all ingredients to your blender and let er’ rip.
